Where we work

Based in York, working across the area

We are a York company and we travel to every job. There is no showroom to visit: each quote starts with your measurements and a few photos, and we go through the details with you before anything is booked. On the day, the team arrives with everything needed and leaves the garden clear.

Most of our work is in the city and the villages close to it, but the area runs further than people expect. To the south we are often in Bishopthorpe and Copmanthorpe, to the north in Haxby, Wigginton and Huntington, and to the east the work runs out through Dunnington and Stamford Bridge to Pocklington at the foot of the Wolds.

Questions

Questions about where we work

Do you work in my village if it is not listed here?

Quite possibly. The places above are where most of our work is, but we take on jobs all around York. Send your postcode with your measurements and photos, or call 01904 948408, and we will let you know.

Do you have a showroom or yard I can visit?

No. We work from York and come to you. Every quote starts from your measurements and photos, and we go through the details with you before any work is booked.

Which council deals with planning where I live?

City of York Council covers York itself, Haxby, Wigginton, Huntington, Dunnington, Bishopthorpe and Copmanthorpe. Pocklington and Stamford Bridge come under East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Most garden fences up to 2 metres, or 1 metre beside a road, need no application, but conservation areas and listed buildings have tighter rules, so ask the council if either could apply to your home.

Can you do a fence, a deck and a patio as one job?

Yes. Plenty of our jobs combine them, and doing it in one booking means the garden is only disrupted once and the work is planned together from the start.

Do you sell fencing or paving without fitting it?

No. We only take on installation work. Every price includes the materials and our team fitting them, with the old fence or surface cleared and taken away.

How do I get a quote?

Measure the length of fence or the size of the area, add a photo or two of how it looks now, and send them through the contact page. Or call 01904 948408. We will come back to you with a first figure.
